How it signs in

Through your browser, the first time a session uses it. The server answers with a sign-in challenge, OHarness discovers Appwrite’s authorization server and registers itself there on the spot, and the tokens land in ~/.oharness/auth.json, readable only by you. Nothing to paste, and nothing stored by us.

Try it

Once Appwrite is connected, a first prompt to see it work:

Using Appwrite, list the tables in my project and draft a query for last week's new sign-ups.

Adding it

  1. Download OHarness for the Mac, or install the CLI anywhere Node runs.
  2. In the composer, open the + menu and find Appwrite under Connectors or Plugins.
  3. Pick it and sign in when the browser opens. Its tools are available from the next turn.

Common questions

Does OHarness work with Appwrite?

Yes. Appwrite ships in OHarness as both an MCP connector and a plugin, so it is in the menu on first launch with nothing to look up.

How does the Appwrite connector sign in?

Through your browser. The first request is answered with a sign-in challenge, OHarness registers itself with Appwrite's authorization server on the spot, and the tokens are kept on your machine in auth.json, readable only by you. There is no key to paste.

What does the Appwrite plugin install?

11 skills and 1 MCP server. It is installed from appwrite/claude-plugin at commit ab3c90b, the exact version OHarness was checked against, rather than whatever is on a branch today.

Is OHarness affiliated with Appwrite?

No. OHarness works with Appwrite through its public MCP server; Appwrite and its logo belong to Appwrite.

Appwrite and its logo belong to Appwrite. Listed because OHarness works with it, not because Appwrite endorses OHarness.

Use Appwrite from OHarness

The same Appwrite tools in every session, whichever of the model providers is underneath.
