How it signs in

Through your browser, the first time a session uses it. The server answers with a sign-in challenge, OHarness discovers Honeycomb’s authorization server and registers itself there on the spot, and the tokens land in ~/.oharness/auth.json, readable only by you. Nothing to paste, and nothing stored by us.

Try it

Once Honeycomb is connected, a first prompt to see it work:

Pull the top errors from Honeycomb for the last 24 hours and group them by likely cause.

Adding it

  1. Download OHarness for the Mac, or install the CLI anywhere Node runs.
  2. In the composer, open the + menu and find Honeycomb under Connectors or Plugins.
  3. Pick it and sign in when the browser opens. Its tools are available from the next turn.

Common questions

Does OHarness work with Honeycomb?

Yes. Honeycomb ships in OHarness as both an MCP connector and a plugin, so it is in the menu on first launch with nothing to look up.

How does the Honeycomb connector sign in?

Through your browser. The first request is answered with a sign-in challenge, OHarness registers itself with Honeycomb's authorization server on the spot, and the tokens are kept on your machine in auth.json, readable only by you. There is no key to paste.

What does the Honeycomb plugin install?

11 skills, 2 agents, 1 MCP server and hooks. It is installed from honeycombio/agent-skill at commit 6bb0927, the exact version OHarness was checked against, rather than whatever is on a branch today.

Is OHarness affiliated with Honeycomb?

No. OHarness works with Honeycomb through its public MCP server; Honeycomb and its logo belong to Honeycomb.

Honeycomb and its logo belong to Honeycomb. Listed because OHarness works with it, not because Honeycomb endorses OHarness.
