Design, test and document APIs with Postman. OHarness works with Postman out of the box — sign in once in your browser and its tools are in every session.

How it signs in

Through your browser, the first time a session uses it. The server answers with a sign-in challenge, OHarness discovers Postman’s authorization server and registers itself there on the spot, and the tokens land in ~/.oharness/auth.json, readable only by you. Nothing to paste, and nothing stored by us.

Try it

Once Postman is connected, a first prompt to see it work:

Use Postman to look into the bug in this branch and propose a fix with a test.

Adding it

  1. Download OHarness for the Mac, or install the CLI anywhere Node runs.
  2. In the composer, open the + menu and find Postman under Connectors or Plugins.
  3. Pick it and sign in when the browser opens. Its tools are available from the next turn.

Common questions

Does OHarness work with Postman?

Yes. Postman ships in OHarness as both an MCP connector and a plugin, so it is in the menu on first launch with nothing to look up.

How does the Postman connector sign in?

Through your browser. The first request is answered with a sign-in challenge, OHarness registers itself with Postman's authorization server on the spot, and the tokens are kept on your machine in auth.json, readable only by you. There is no key to paste.

What does the Postman plugin install?

17 skills, 1 MCP server and hooks. It is installed from postmanlabs/postman-plugin at commit c6352ef, the exact version OHarness was checked against, rather than whatever is on a branch today.

Is OHarness affiliated with Postman?

No. OHarness works with Postman through its public MCP server; Postman and its logo belong to Postman.

Postman and its logo belong to Postman. Listed because OHarness works with it, not because Postman endorses OHarness.
