What you get
| MCP connector | Web search and page contents built for agents. Remote, over streamable HTTP at https://mcp.exa.ai/mcp. |
| Plugin | 2 skills and 1 MCP server. MCP servers: exa. |
| Published by | Exa |
| Pinned source | exa-labs/exa-mcp-server@15ffb50 |
How it signs in
Through your browser, the first time a session uses it. The server answers with a sign-in challenge, OHarness discovers Exa’s authorization server and registers itself there on the spot, and the tokens land in ~/.oharness/auth.json, readable only by you. Nothing to paste, and nothing stored by us.

Common questions
Does OHarness work with Exa?
Yes. Exa ships in OHarness as both an MCP connector and a plugin, so it is in the menu on first launch with nothing to look up.
How does the Exa connector sign in?
Through your browser. The first request is answered with a sign-in challenge, OHarness registers itself with Exa's authorization server on the spot, and the tokens are kept on your machine in auth.json, readable only by you. There is no key to paste.
What does the Exa plugin install?
2 skills and 1 MCP server. It is installed from exa-labs/exa-mcp-server at commit 15ffb50, the exact version OHarness was checked against, rather than whatever is on a branch today.
Is OHarness affiliated with Exa?
No. OHarness works with Exa through its public MCP server; Exa and its logo belong to Exa.
