1. Who we are and what these terms cover
OHarness is operated by Litbox LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and Litbox LLC, and they cover:
- The software — the open-source OHarness agent: the desktop app for macOS, the command line and browser interface installed from npm, and the terminal interface. It runs on your own machine.
- Your account and the hosted services that come with it: the metering gateway that gives the agent access to models on our plan, session and memory sync, cloud connectors, published artifacts, and the relay used for remote control.
- The OHarness iPhone app, which chats with models and generates images and video through the gateway, uses your connected apps, and can drive your own Mac running OHarness.
- This website, oharness.ai.
These terms do not replace the licence on the software. OHarness is published under the MIT licence, and your rights to use, copy, modify and distribute the code come from that licence alone. Where the two ever appear to disagree about the code, the MIT licence governs. You can use the software without an account, with your own provider keys or a model on your own machine; the rest of these terms then matter to you only as far as you use this website.
By creating an account, buying a plan, or using the hosted services or the iPhone app, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Accounts
You can sign up with an email address and password, with a one-time link sent to your email, or with Google or Apple. The iPhone app signs in with Apple or Google. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Apple gives us a private relay address instead of your own, and that relay address is the one we hold and write to.
You must be at least 13 years old to have an account (16 where the law where you live sets a higher age for consenting to online services), and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live to buy a plan. Keep your sign-in and any oh- API keys you create to yourself: anything done with them is treated as done by you, and spends your credits. Revoke a key from the dashboard as soon as you think it has leaked.
Teams. A team pools one balance and one subscription for its members. Whoever creates a team owns it and is responsible for its billing; owners and members with billing permission can buy for it. Members draw on the team’s credits, and what they sync to the team can be read by everyone on it.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time, from the settings page of the dashboard on this website or from the iPhone app. Deleting it stops any subscription billed through Stripe from renewing — it is not cancelled immediately, but ends with the period already paid for, no further payment is taken, and the rest of that period is not refunded (with the account gone, its remaining allowance can no longer be used); erases what your account synced to us (session feeds and memory); and deletes the account. If you own a team you must delete it or hand it over first. A subscription bought through the App Store is not cancelled by deleting the account — Apple bills it, and only you can cancel it, in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. The Privacy Policy describes what is deleted and what is kept.
3. Plans, credits and billing
What is sold. The current prices are on the pricing page, and the price and the credits you will receive are shown before you pay. Today the offer is:
- Plus — a monthly plan for people who bring their own model keys. It unlocks the hosted features a paid plan includes and grants 700 credits a month.
- Starter, Pro, Max and Ultra — monthly or yearly subscriptions that grant a monthly allowance of credits.
- Team and Business — per-seat subscriptions, monthly or yearly, whose credits go into the team’s shared balance.
- Top-ups — credits bought once, with nothing to renew.
- Auto top-up — optional. When it is on and your balance falls below 200 credits, the amount you chose is charged to the card on file and added to your balance. It stays on until you turn it off.
Credits. One credit is a hundredth of a US dollar of metered inference at list price. Each request through the gateway is charged in credits at what the model costs, and every charge appears in your usage history. Credits are a measure of use of the hosted services, not money: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and are not redeemable for cash except where the law requires it.
When credits expire. A subscription’s allowance covers one month; whatever is left of it expires when the next month’s arrives. A yearly plan is paid once a year but releases its allowance a month at a time, on the same rule. A month in which the account is not used is not granted later. Credits you buy outright, as a top-up or by auto top-up, do not expire. Usage draws on the month’s allowance first. The allowance is granted when the payment for it arrives, so a payment that fails grants nothing.
Paying on the web. Purchases on this website are processed by Stripe, on Stripe’s own checkout page. Stripe states the amount, in your currency and with any tax, before anything is charged. Invoices, the card on file and cancellation are in Stripe’s customer portal, which the billing tab of the dashboard opens.
Paying in the iPhone app. Purchases in the app are made through Apple’s In-App Purchase, are charged by Apple to your Apple Account, and are subject to Apple’s terms. We use RevenueCat to confirm a purchase and tell our service about it, so that the credits reach your account. The App Store price of a plan matches the web price, but a plan bought through the App Store grants fewer credits — currently 15% fewer — because of the commission Apple charges. The credits each plan grants in each store are shown before you buy.
Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: on the web from the customer portal, and for an App Store purchase in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan continues to the end of the period already paid for, and its allowance ends with it. Purchased credits remain on your balance.
Refunds. Payments are generally not refundable. Credits pay for inference we buy from model vendors on your behalf the moment you use them, and a plan’s allowance is made available as soon as its period starts. If something has gone wrong — a duplicate charge, or a web purchase you did not mean to make and have not used — write to [email protected] within 14 days and we will look at it in good faith. App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, under Apple’s policies, and we cannot issue them; you can ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Deleting an account stops a Stripe subscription renewing rather than cancelling it at once; it ends with the period already paid for, and the rest of that period is not refunded. If you live in the EU or the UK, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services; by buying credits or a plan you ask us to make them available straight away, and you accept that the right ends for whatever you have used once you start using it. Nothing in this paragraph limits a right to a refund or withdrawal that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.
Changes to prices and plans. We may change prices, credit amounts and what a plan includes. A change to a subscription you already have takes effect from your next renewal after we have given you notice of at least 30 days, and you can cancel before then. App Store price changes are also subject to Apple’s rules on notice and consent.
4. Models through the gateway
On our plan, the agent and the iPhone app reach models through our metering gateway, which checks your balance, forwards the request through OttoPort (ottoport.ai) — the upstream model gateway that Litbox LLC also operates — to the vendor that serves the model, and records what it cost. The vendors include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Moonshot (Kimi) and Alibaba (Qwen) for chat, and image and video vendors such as ByteDance (Seedance), MiniMax, Alibaba (Wan), Kuaishou (Kling) and Midjourney. The list changes as models are added and withdrawn, and a model we cannot price is not served.
Your use of a model is also subject to the vendor’s own usage policies, and you agree to follow them. Model output is generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete, offensive or similar to other people’s work. Check it before you rely on it, and do not use it as the only basis for decisions with legal, medical, financial or safety consequences.
Your content. As between you and us, you own what you send (prompts, files, images) and, to the extent the law and the vendor’s terms allow, what the models return to you. You give us permission to process it only as far as needed to provide the services to you — forwarding it to the vendor, syncing or publishing it when you ask. You are responsible for having the rights to what you send and for how you use what comes back.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the software, the hosted services or the iPhone app to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- create or distribute sexual content involving minors, content that harasses, threatens or defames real people, or non-consensual intimate imagery of anyone;
- build malware, attack systems you do not own or are not authorised to test, or send spam;
- get around credit metering, rate limits, plan limits or authentication — including by sharing an account or key beyond its owner or team, reselling access to the gateway, or exploiting a billing error rather than reporting it;
- interfere with the services or other people’s use of them, or probe parts that are not public;
- break the usage policies of the model vendors or of the apps you connect.
6. Cloud connectors
Cloud connectors let the agent and the iPhone app use apps such as Gmail, Slack or GitHub on your behalf. They are provided through Composio: when you connect an app you authorise it on a page Composio hosts, and the app’s credentials are held by Composio, not by us. The agent acts in a connected app only after you have connected it, and its actions there pass through the same permission approvals as any other tool. A free account can connect up to two apps; paid plans have no such limit. You can withdraw that authorisation at any time from the connected app’s own account or security settings; you can also ask us at [email protected] to remove the connection on our side. What you do in a connected app is also governed by that app’s terms, and you are responsible for the actions you approve.
7. Sync, memory and published artifacts
When you are signed in, the agent mirrors your sessions and memory notes to our sync service by default, so they follow you between devices and, for a team, to your teammates. You can turn sync off for a machine, a repository or a single run. Free accounts have limits on synced memory; paid plans lift them. Publishing an artifact copies it to our servers and gives it a link: an unlisted artifact can be opened by anyone who has the link, and a team artifact by the team’s members. You are responsible for what you sync and publish, and we may remove a published artifact that breaks these terms.
8. The iPhone app and remote control
Remote control lets your iPhone drive OHarness on your own Mac. The Mac and the phone both connect out to our relay, which joins them when they are signed in to the same account. A phone the Mac has not seen before has to be allowed at the Mac, and both screens show a matching six-digit code. After that, the channel between phone and Mac is sealed end to end: the relay forwards frames it cannot read.
From the phone you can start and steer sessions and answer the agent’s permission requests, but not reach the terminal, the file browser, settings or sign-in, and not switch the Mac into the mode that skips approvals — that can only be done at the Mac. Everything the agent does at the phone’s request, it does on your Mac with your authority, exactly as if you had asked at the keyboard. You are responsible for what you allow, for keeping the phone secure, and for removing a phone you no longer use from the Mac’s list of allowed devices.
The licence agreement for the iPhone app. These terms are the end-user licence agreement for the OHarness iPhone app; Apple’s standard licensed application end-user licence agreement does not apply to it. Litbox LLC grants you a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service, except that the app may also be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing. If you obtained the app through the App Store, the following also applies:
- Who the agreement is with. These terms are between you and Litbox LLC only, not Apple. Litbox LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Maintenance and support. Litbox LLC is solely responsible for any maintenance and support of the app, as described in these terms or required by law. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- Warranty. To the extent any warranty is not effectively disclaimed under section 12, Litbox LLC is solely responsible for it. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app, if any, to you. To the maximum extent the law permits, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are Litbox LLC’s responsibility, to the extent not disclaimed in these terms.
- Claims. Litbox LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims; any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement; and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Litbox LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Export and sanctions. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app — for example, those of your mobile carrier or of an app you connect.
- Contact. Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to Litbox LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, [email protected].
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
9. The software runs with your authority
This is the most important thing on this page. OHarness runs an agent that executes shell commands, reads files and writes files on the machine you start it on, using your own account and your own permissions. It can change or delete your work — and the same is true when you drive it from your phone.
The permission layer is a policy gate, not a sandbox. It inspects the arguments of a tool call and refuses paths outside the range you allowed; it does not constrain the process. A shell command can reach anything your user can reach, and a command that spawns another interpreter can bypass argument checks entirely. Real isolation comes from the operating system — containers, or a mechanism such as seatbelt on macOS — and the harness does not provide it. Treat the permission modes as a guard against mistakes, not as a boundary against a determined command.
Running the browser or sync server binds a port. Reaching that port is equivalent to a shell on that machine. Both bind to loopback by default and require a token; publishing either to a wider network is your decision and your risk.
10. Model providers you configure yourself
If you give the agent your own key for a model provider, or point it at any other endpoint, those requests go directly from your machine to that provider, not through us. We are not a party to them and do not see them; what the provider does with them is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for the cost of those calls.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or refuse a request, if it breaks these terms, if a payment is reversed or disputed, if we must to comply with the law or a vendor’s requirement, or to protect the services or other people. Where it is reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close an account without cause, we will refund unspent purchased credits bought on the web. We may also discontinue a hosted service, with reasonable notice. The MIT licence to the software is not affected by any of this.
12. No warranty
The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement. This mirrors the MIT licence the software is published under. The hosted services, the iPhone app and model output are provided on the same basis: we do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or available in every country, or that any particular model will remain available.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Litbox LLC and the authors and copyright holders of the software are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or business, arising from the software, the services or their use. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities, so parts of this section and the last may not apply to you.
14. This website and our name
Do not attempt to disrupt the site or gain access to parts of it that are not public. Downloads offered here are provided for use under the MIT licence; the OHarness name and logo are not covered by that licence and remain ours.
15. Changes
These terms may change. The version published here is the one in force, and the date of the last change is shown at the top and foot of the page. If you have an account we will email you before a change that materially affects you takes effect; continuing to use the services after that means you accept it.
16. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and the courts of Sheridan County, Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts.
The contracting entity is Litbox LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Questions, and notices under these terms, can be sent to [email protected].
